David Lopez- CEO/Founder
David Lopez left Champion Windows, at the end of 2011, to begin his venture as a co-founder of American Water Damage. David was the President of Champion Windows in Ft. Worth for 10 years, and was given a second store in 2009. David was one of the only Presidents, in the history of the company, to be given a second store to operate in conjunction with his first store.
David has over 16 years of experience in running his own business as a restaurant owner, President and Operating Partner at Champion Windows, and currently as the co-founder of American Water Damage. With that experience, David has developed a strong commitment to customer service.
In addition, David has earned several awards of excellence throughout his career. In 2008, he was inducted into the Master’s Club of Achievement, which is an award given to only the top performers nationwide. He was given the same honor in 2010. David was also given many awards while working at Pacesetter Corporation, a home improvement company he began working at in 1996. David spent five years serving customers as a salesman and sales manager, where he received the award of “Best Performer” three times.
David’s passion for providing excellent customer service, along with his strong leadership skills, is a plan of dedication he promises to implement at American Water Damage. His invaluable skill set from over 21 years of work experience as a business owner, operator, and sales person will continue to be the framework from which he leads.

Dennis L. Manes is the Chairman of American Water Damage (AWD) and plays a key role in the company’s growth. He also serves as the Managing Director of venture capital firm Manes Capital Management, LLC, and brings a strong background in investor finance to the company.
Prior to joining AWD, Manes was the CEO of Champion Window Manufacturing & Supply Company and its affiliated companies from 2007 – 2012. Champion is the largest home improvement company in the United States with 86 showroom locations and two manufacturing facilities While at the helm of Champion, he more than doubled the number of stores. This is significant because it was largely done during the recent economic downturn.
Manes joined Champion in 2002 as a V.P. and General Counsel after serving as Champion’s outside legal counsel since 1988. He earned his JD degree from the University of Toledo College of Law (1973) and LLM in Taxation from the New York University College of Law (1974), and was a founder and managing partner of Schwartz, Manes, Ruby & Slovin prior to joining Champion
Manes has a strong background in the home improvement industry. His father was in home improvement and through high school and college Manes had jobs in the home improvement sector. When Manes decided to move on to the next chapter of his professional life, he looked for a company that had an established base and strong national growth potential. He found that company when he joined American Water Damage. He was particularly impressed by AWD’s ability to grow significantly while sustaining a high quality service to the customer. Manes looks forward to being part of taking the company to the next level with its plans to have at least 30 locations by 2017.
